Ingredients

3-serving
  • 3 numbersMedium size ayila
  • one and a half tspcoconut grated
  • one and a half tspchilly powder
  • 1ginger small piece
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • 2 tspstamarind extract
  • 3 numbersonion
  • 3Curry leaves stems
  • to tastesalt
  • 2 tbspscoconut oil

  1. 1

    Clean the fish and make long cuts on it.

  2. 2

    Make a fine paste with the ingredients 2 to 9 and rub on the fish, marinate for 1 hour.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a frying pan, sprinkle few curry leaves and place fish on it, keep on  medium flame  for 1 minute.Then turn the other side of the fish.

  4. 4

    Then cover the pan with a lid,keep in a low flame for two minutes.

  5. 5

    Remove the lid,turn the fish and fry till both sides become brown. Serve hot with sliced onion.
