Pickled Red Onion (2 Ingredients)

In my kitchen!

This one is simple and tasty. I add this to steaks, burgers, and many more. You only need a tiny amount since it is quite sour. (Unless you're a fan of sour side dishes like yours truly, then you might want to eat a quarter of the jar in one go!)

In a fridge, it lasts for months. Add more sliced red onion later, don't waste the vinegar! The second batch would taste sweeter and milder.

Steps

  1. 1

Sterilize a jar of your choice. I do this by boiling or steaming it for 10-15 minutes. Dry it first.

  2. 2

Peel the onion. Slice it thinly. Put it on the jar.

  3. 3

Add distilled white vinegar until it fills 2/3 of the jar. Put the cap on.

  4. 4

Shake the jar a few times. After an hour or two, put it on the fridge. Enjoy it the following day!
