This one of the Filipino dish i love to cook and i love to putting that saucy goodness on my rice its a little similar to beef brisket but they're both deliciuos. You can adjust the ingridient if its too much for you.

Ingredients

45 minutes
6 to 7 servings
  1. Pork chops with bone and fats for extra flavor (or without fat)
  2. 2 clovesgarlic
  3. 1red onion (finely chop)
  4. 1red or white onion (sliced into rings)
  5. 4 tbspcornstarch
  6. Soy sauce
  7. salt
  8. lime juice
  9. pepper
  10. sugar
  11. cooking oil
  12. hot water
  13. for the marinate**
  14. Soy sauce
  15. lime juice
  16. Black pepper
  17. salt
  18. sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Marinate the pork chops on soy sauce and lime juice season with sugar, salt and pepper you can adjust depends on your taste. marinate for about 2 hours, best if overnight

    Sear the pork chops or fry until the fats are rendered on high heat then set aside (save the matinate)

  3. 3

    Fry the chop garlic and onion until fragrant

  4. 4

    Add the saved marinate to the pan and add some hot water then let it simmer for about 5 minutes

    Season the sauce with sugar, salt and pepper then squeeze some lime to add some acidity or to balance it so it wont be just sweet or salty

    On a small bowl mix the cornstarch with water then add it to the sauce together pork chops mix well and let it simmer

  7. 7

    Add the onion rings and let it cook for about 10 minutes or until the pork chop is tender

  8. 8

    Serve and enjoy your food

This recipe is not very detailed. It doesn't say how many tbsp of soy sauce is needed and how much water to mix with cornstarch so we'll know that were not overdoing it.
