Ingredients

  1. 500 gmsPasta (Penne)
  2. 1medium onion
  3. 4-5 cloves garlic
  4. 5-6 basil

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil water in a deep based pan or kadhai. Add salt to the water to speed up the boiling process. Add pasta once water starts boiling. After the pasta is cooked drain and keep it aside. Add about 1-2 teaspoons of oil to the drained pasta in order to avoid it from sticking.

    Chop the onions into small cubes. Mince the garlic well and keep it aside. Similarly, chop the basil leaves.

  3. 3

    In a kadhai or a pan, add 1-2 tablespoons of oil and keep it on a low flame. Once the oil heats up, add the garlic and the onion in it. Saute till it turns translucent.

  4. 4

    Add the cream in the pan once the onion becomes translucent and mix well. You may add 2-3 tablespoons of milk to get a rich and creamy sauce like texture.

  5. 5

    Mix the entire sauce well. Now add the basil leaves and salt. At this point your sauce is ready. Check for seasoning.

  6. 6

    Add the cooked pasta in the sauce and toss or mix well. Garnish with cheese. Pasta is ready!
