Ingredients

  • 1 cupscornmeal
  • 2 cupsmilk
  • 2eggs separated whites and yolks beaten
  • 1/4 cupsmelted butter
  • 2 teaspoonssugar
  • 21/2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  • 1 teaspoonssalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Bring milk to a boil

  2. 2

    Add salt and slowly add cornmeal stirring constantly

  3. 3

    Cook to a soft mush

  4. 4

    Cool

  5. 5

    Add egg yolks butter baking powder

  6. 6

    Fold in egg whites

  7. 7

    Bake in a buttered dish at 375 for 30 minutes

  8. 8

    Serve hot
