This is one mum's treat that lasts for an ageand some. Today I missed mums traditional porridge ( Ushurù wa gikùyù) and had to settle for convinient uji mix
Steps

Boil 5 cups of water in pot.
- 2
Mix 1.5 spoonfuls of each flour-uji mix and sour mix in a cup of cold water and stir.

Pour the mix into the pot of boiling water while stirring
- 4
Turn the heat to low and keep stirring the porridge after every few minutes.

Add sugar or honey to taste.
- 6
Serve while hot in a deep bowl or cup.
