My weekend is never complete without making chapatis for my family hence this weekend wasnt exemptional.I choose to try a new recipe and the results were encouraging

Peal and boil the butternut until tender

In a basin mix both sugar salt and eggs the stir throughly to mix.

Mash the boiled butternut then add it in eggs.

Add flour and water in mixture then using hand mix with oil together until it forms a dough. (Mix for 5-10 minutes)

Cover with a nylon paper then leave to soften for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes take the dough the place it on a cleaned table then mix it again for 5 minutes. Set aside.

Sprinkle flour on the table.this will ensure the dough does not stick.

Sprinkle flour on the dough before rolling it.

Cut into 3 portions

Take each portion at a time roll then apply oil afterwards cut into 10 different straight pieces.

Take each piece then make round balls

Repeat the same with the rest

Sprinkle flour on a clear space on the table then take each rounded ball sprinkle flour then roll to make a flat circular shape

Heat the pan with a spoonful of liquid oil

Put on the pan one chapati shape at a time then rub with oil to endure all the sides are well cooked and takes a beautiful colour of brown.(use less heat so they dont burn).

Repeat each step with the rest.

Serve with lentil soups or meats and vegetables.
