Spaghetti ala Cream in 15 Minutes

You come home exhausted from the office, but your stomach is growling, and your partner is just as hungry, if not more. You want something indulgent, sinful, yet quick. I have the solution for you... a quick, indulgent, calorie-rich recipe.
A few more secrets
I don't mention adding salt to the sauce because the bacon is quite salty, as is the Parmesan. If you feel it's necessary, you can add it carefully. I don't drain the pasta because the starch in the water helps the sauce thicken and become creamier. Never rinse the pasta after draining. Generously salt the water you boil the pasta in, as you won't be adding salt later.

Steps
- 1
Heat a wide pot with about 2 inches of water.
- 2
Boil 1 1/2 liters (about 6 1/3 cups) of water in a kettle (we're in a hurry).
- 3
Once it boils, pour it into the pot on the stove, salt it well, and add the pasta.
- 4
In a wide, deep pan, add a little oil and the finely chopped onion to soften.
- 5
Add the bacon and sauté until it gets a nice color.
- 6
Stir the pasta occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 7
Lower the heat on the pan and add the heavy cream.
- 8
The pasta should be boiled for about 9-10 minutes; we don't want it overcooked, just al dente.
- 9
Using tongs, transfer the pasta from the pot to the pan, keeping the water it holds.
- 10
Increase the heat slightly and mix the pasta well in the sauce, so it thickens and "sticks" to the pasta.
- 11
Serve hot and sprinkle with grated Parmesan and fresh pepper.
- 12
Impress your guests by serving the pasta as if you're a chef from a renowned restaurant.
