For the filling: Cook all the filling ingredients over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

First, take the kunafa dough out of the freezer and break it up right away to make it easier to handle.

Melt butter (amount depends on how much kunafa dough you use) and mix it with the kunafa dough until the dough absorbs the butter.

Spread half of the kunafa dough in a baking dish, then add the cream filling. Top with the remaining kunafa dough, pressing down gently. Bake in a preheated oven until the edges are golden brown. Pour sugar syrup over the hot kunafa before serving. Enjoy!
