Ingredients

  • 1 packagekunafa dough (such as Sunbulah or any brand you like)
  • For the filling:
  • 1small glass (about 1/4 cup or 60 ml) cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml)rose water
  • 1 cup (200 grams)sugar
  • 1 can(about 7 ounces or 200 grams) cream
  • 2 cups (480 ml)milk

Steps

    For the filling: Cook all the filling ingredients over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

  2. 2

    First, take the kunafa dough out of the freezer and break it up right away to make it easier to handle.

  3. 3

    Melt butter (amount depends on how much kunafa dough you use) and mix it with the kunafa dough until the dough absorbs the butter.

  4. 4

    Spread half of the kunafa dough in a baking dish, then add the cream filling. Top with the remaining kunafa dough, pressing down gently. Bake in a preheated oven until the edges are golden brown. Pour sugar syrup over the hot kunafa before serving. Enjoy!
