Steps
- 1
Put 3 cups of warm water in a bowl, add sugar, salt and coconut oil.
- 2
Sieve your flour, mix it and add in dessicated coconut. In a large bowl.
- 3
Start kneading your dough. Make a well at the centre of your flour. Add in your water in small bits as your knead with other hand.
- 4
Keep kneading untill its all soaked in water and your dough is soft enough and not soggy.
- 5
If needs be add a bit of flour to make a desirable dough.
- 6
Let your dough rest for atleast 30 minutes.
- 7
Start cutting the dough in tiny doughs of equal sizes and round in shape.
- 8
Roll the tiny dough to form chapati. Apply oil to it and fold it again into a small round shape dough. Keep repeating procedure for all of them. Let them rest for 10 minutes at this stage.
- 9
Using a rolling pin, flatten your dough again. Heat your pan and place your chapati on it.
- 10
Allow it to cook on one side without oil then turn, apply oil on the already cooked side. Turn it to fry it. Keep turning so the heat can balance and allow your chapo to cook evenly.
- 11
Apply oil on other side and fry it like above. Repeat procedure for all your chapatis.
- 12
Once they are cooked keep them in a hot dish to keep them warm and maintain the softness.
- 13
Enjoy with your favourite dish. I like mine with minji sauce.🤗
