Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsemolina and Vermicelli
  2. 1 cupcurd
  3. 1 tspbaking soda
  4. Salt as per your taste
  5. 2 tspoil
  6. 1/4 tspmustard seeds
  7. 1 tspginger and green chilli paste
  8. 1 tsptumeric and red chili powder
  9. Water as required
  10. 1 tspcurry leaves
  11. 1/4 tspurad dal
  12. 1 tspchana dal
  13. 1/4 tsphing
  14. 2 tspcashew nuts

Steps

  1. 1

    1) Firstly roast the semolina and vermicelli together mix well add curd and water together make a smooth paste add salt and baking soda.

  2. 2

    2) Heat oil and little bit of ghee in a pan add cashew nuts saute it till it gets brown color and transfer to bowl. 2)In the same pan add oil add mustRd seeds,urad dal,chana dal,hing ginger,green chilli saute it for a minute then add curry leaves, turmeric powder,red chilli powder mix well,add in paste mix well together.

    3)Heat the idly cooker with water and grease the idly plates with oil and place the cashewnuts in the plate,pour the mixture to the idly moulds and steam it for 10 minutes or until cooked well. Served hot with Tomato and green chutney.
