Microwave poached pears

Reminiscent of a chinese dessert for sore throats, this recipe is SUPER easy and quick to make. Also, following my theme of college cooking trying hard to be fancy.
Microwave poached pears
Reminiscent of a chinese dessert for sore throats, this recipe is SUPER easy and quick to make. Also, following my theme of college cooking trying hard to be fancy.
Steps
- 1
Peel and cut pears in half. Remove core
- 2
Place 1 tbsp of nuts/seeds into each pear half. I used pumpkin seeds cause that's what I had. If you want to make it real chinese, use chuan bei but that's like a whole different process
- 3
Drizzle half a tablespoon honey on each pear.
- 4
Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top. This is to taste. (I am a cinnamon freak)
- 5
Microwave for 4 minutes, in 1 minute increments. Check for tenderness.
- 6
Enjoy hot!
