Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupleft over cooked rice (chawal)
  2. 3medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
  3. 1 tbspcumin powder,coriander powder and red chilli powder
  4. 1/4 tbspturmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tbspgaram masala powder
  6. 1 tbspchaat masala
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1/2 cupchopped fresh coriander leaves
  9. 1_2 tbsp cornstarch
  10. Dried breadcrumbs for coating
  11. Oil for shallow frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Greate potatoes into a bowl. Add rice, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, chaat masala, salt and chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Add cornstarch and mix well.

  2. 2

    Divide the mixture into equal portations and shapes them into cutlets.

  3. 3

    Spread breadcrumbs onto a plate. Coat each cutlet with some breadcrumbs.

  4. 4

    Heat a non- stick twa. Place each prepared cutlet, drizzle some oil and shallow- fry on medium heat from both sides till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

  5. 5

    Serve hot with green chutney and tamarind chutney
