Cream butter and sugar til light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, melted choc., and vanilla. Mix flour and salt together, then add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix well after each. Stir in hazelnuts

Next beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Carefully fold into the batter. Spread into a springform pan. Place on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 30-35 mins. cool on a wire rack 10 mins. Run a knife around the edge, remove sides of pan, cool completely.

For the glaze: bring the butter, corn syrup, and water to boil. remove from heat, add choc. chips, and stir until smooth. Cool to room temp. before frosting.
