Ingredients

10 servings
  1. 3 largeSweet potatos
  2. 5 mediumRed potatos
  3. 4 tbspChopped garlic
  4. 3 cupVenison or beef stew meat
  5. 1 largeRed onion
  6. 2stock Finely chopped celery
  7. 2 mediumChopped carrots
  8. 2 packagesChopped mushrooms
  9. 1 tbspFresh chopped Parsley
  10. 1 tbspBlack pepper
  11. 3 tspSage
  12. 2 canCream of mushroom soup (condensed)
  13. 3 tbspButter

Steps

  1. 1

    Toss butter, garlic, onions, celery and meat of choice into slow cooker on high

  2. 2

    Add sage, pepper and parsley

  3. 3

    Add peeled and chopped carrots, red and sweet potatos

  4. 4

    Let cook for 15 minutes

  5. 5

    Stir in condensed cans of cream of mushroom (do not add water)

  6. 6

    Let cook for about 2 hours on medium while checking occasionally

  7. 7

    Stew is done when sweet potatoes start mushing, making stew thicken. Times may vary depending on slow cookers.

  8. 8

    Enjoy :) Amazing with honeybutter biscuits!

Best stew ever! My family loves this take on a local favorite! Sweet potatoes are the twist on classic venison stew. (L)
