Gimbap: Korean Nori Seaweed Rolls Gimbap: Korean Nori Seaweed Rolls
I wanted to eat my favorite nori rolls without having to go to Koreatown for them. They're pretty light and my husband loves them too.If you can get whole sheets of Korean seaweed, that would be better. If you are using Japanese nori seaweed, they taste better if you spread some sesame oil and salt on your hands after you've made the rolls, and spread that over the surface. You can add whatever fillings you like, but be sure to always add lots of takuan pickles! For 5 rolls. Recipe by Rabupanda cookpad.japan -
Gimbap: Korean Nori Seaweed Rolls Gimbap: Korean Nori Seaweed Rolls
I suddenly wanted to have some gimbap, so I tried making it. Well, all I did was to add ground meat to the filling of the sushi rolls I usually make, and use Korean nori seaweed instead of regular nori seaweed. You can use whatever fillings you like. You don't need sushi rice; regular (plain) rice is fine. The rolls are easier to make if you don't add too much filling. Leave a little space on each edge of the nori seaweed when spreading the rice on it - about 1 cm on the side near you, and 2.5 cm on the far side. This way the rolls will roll up better. For 2 rolls. Easy Chikuwa and Nori Seaweed Rollups Easy Chikuwa and Nori Seaweed Rollups
I love rollups like these. They're great for bentos and drinking appetizers. These are quite easy to make. It's best to cut the nori seaweed a little bit shorter (about 1 cm); this way, the end of the roll will be much neater.I also cut the toothpicks used to skewer the rolls in half. For about 1 serving. With a Little Effort Korean-Style Sushi Seaweed for Hand Rolls With a Little Effort Korean-Style Sushi Seaweed for Hand Rolls
We always use this method for preparing nori seaweed for hand rolls. This small effort makes the rolls taste so good!In Step 3, there was no way I could take a picture while grilling it for only 2 seconds, so this photo was unsuccessful, and shows a tired piece of seaweed from too much fiddling. When you spread the sauce in Step 2, don't make it too sticky!!It'll become too salty and the seaweed will become mushy.Lightly and thinly is just right. California Rolls California Rolls
I challenged myself to make easy California rolls at home. They were surprisingly easy and cheap to prepare!Spread the sushi rice thinly over the surface of the nori. If there is too much rice, the rolls will be too big.At Step 5, make sure to flip the nori and rice in one swift motion. Recipe by Hiromanma cookpad.japan -
Fish Sausage Nori Seaweed Bacon Rolls Fish Sausage Nori Seaweed Bacon Rolls
*It is still a long ways off, but I thought up a cute recipe that I can take to a cherry blossom viewing picnic.*I set aside bento portions first, and used the rest as beer snacks.*Please crisp the bacon from the sliced opening that the cheese is coming out of.*This is entirely made with ingredients that can be consumed raw, so there is no need to cook for a long time.*You can make this without cheese, and it will still be tasty. You can also substitute shiso leaves for the cheese. For 2 sausages yield 12 pieces. Recipe by putimiko cookpad.japan -

These are my beloved daughter's favourite nori seaweed rolls.I ran out of sushi vinegar today, so I mixed in scrambled egg instead. This is how to make the sweet scrambled egg:Add the eggs to a non-stick saucepan or frying pan and heat over medium heat. When the egg starts to cook, turn off the heat, and stir with 4 chopsticks at once. Recipe by Ha-tannookkasan cookpad.japan -
Colorful Kimbap: Korean Nori Seaweed Rolls Colorful Kimbap: Korean Nori Seaweed Rolls
I often ate kimbap (Korean-style seaweed rolls) when I studied abroad in Korea. I really wanted to eat them in Japan, so I created this recipe! Make your own kimbap using your favorite fillings. Good for bentos, too.Be careful not to put too much rice or filling in the rolls, or they will be hard to roll up.If you put too much sesame oil in the rice, it won't stick together! The more colorful the filling, the prettier the rolls!
