Ingredients

  1. 2 tbsproasted and powdered oats
  2. 1 cupgreen moong sprouts
  3. 1green chili
  4. 1/2 inchginger
  5. 1/8 tspbaking powder
  6. salt
  7. 1/2 tspoil for greasing
  8. For serving
  9. 1/2 cupslow-fat curds (dahi)
  10. salt
  11. black salt
  12. 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera) powder
  13. 1/4 tspchilli powder
  14. Imli chutney as required(opt.)
  15. Coriander leaf chopped for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Blend moong sprouts,green chilli, ginger in a mixer to a smooth paste using ¼ cup of water.

  2. 2

    Transfer into a deep bowl, add the powdered oats, salt and baking powder and mix well.

    Grease the appe pan with oil and pour the batter into each mould.Cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes or till they turn golden brown in colour.

    Turn each vada upside down using a fork and cook on the other side on a medium flame for another 2 to 3 more minutes or till they turn golden brown in colour. Keep a side.

    Place vadas on a serving plate and spread curds over them. Sprinkle cumin seeds powder,black salt,salt and chilli powder over it and spred imli chutney and lastly garnish with chopped Coriander leaf.

    Serve immediately.
