Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 2 cupsSemolina or suji
  2. 12Bread slices
  3. to taste Salt
  4. 1 tbspGrated ginger
  5. 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  6. 1 tbspRed chilli flakes
  7. 1/2 tspTurmeric
  8. 1 tspCumin powder
  9. 1 tspCoriander powder
  10. 1/2 cupCurd
  11. 1Onion finely chopped small
  12. 1 cupMozzarella cheese grated
  13. 2 tbspDry parsley flakes to sprinkle on top
  14. 5 - 6 tbspOil to shallow fry

Steps

  1. 1

    Make a thick lump free batter out of all the ingredients except the cheese and the bread slices.

  2. 2

    Heat a griddle and spread a teaspoon of oil onto it.

  3. 3

    Spread about 2 tablespoon of the batter on each bread slice on one side.

  4. 4

    Shallow fry them on low to medium flame until crispy and done.

  5. 5

    After done, add a generous amount of grated cheese on top.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle some parsley flakes and cover.

  7. 7

    As soon as the cheese melts, it is time to remove them onto a serving plate.

  8. 8

    Follow the same for all the bread slices.

  9. 9

    Serve these hot with ketchup or hot and sweet chilli garlic sauce.
