Steps
- 1
Soak the rice for about 30 minutes.
- 2
Cook it al dente, that is until firm.
- 3
In a cooking pot, heat ghee and add the whole spices.
- 4
Now add the cooked rice along with the condensed milk, saffron strands and the rose water.
- 5
Mix all that pretty well and lastly add the dry fruits, raisins and the broken burfi pieces.
- 6
Adjust the sweetness accordingly.
- 7
Burfi will add to the sweetness so be careful and do not add too much of condensed milk.
- 8
Switch off the flame once it is mixed well and looks mushy enough to make laddus easily.
- 9
Once you can handle the heat, start making laddus of any preferable size.
- 10
Cover and chill them in the refrigerator before serving.
