Ingredients

10-12 sticks
  • 2 1/2 cupbread flour
  • 1/2 cupcake flour
  • 1 packinstant yeast (1/4 oz, 2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 2 Tbspmaple syrup
  • 2 Tbspveg. oil
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • ~~ Seasoning~~
  • garlic salt
  • unsalted butter

Steps

    Combine milk and water then microwave for 30 seconds or till lukewarm. Lightly stir yeast into it with maple syrup then sit for 5 minutes. The yeast will become foamy.

    Pour yeast mixture into a large bowl. Add in oil. Stir in salt and flour (1 cup a time) till forming a sticky ball.

    Cover with a cloth or plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour or till the dough is 2 times bigger.

    Gently punch the air out of the dough then knead it on a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about a size of your baking sheet). Cut it into strips. Place the striped dough on a baking pan that lined with a cookie sheet. Covered with a cloth or plastic wrap and let rise 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375°F.

    Before put them in the oven, melt butter in a microwave about 20-30 seconds. Brush it on the striped dough then sprinkle garlic salt on top of them.

    Bake the breadsticks for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy~
