Spicy Sweet Sausage Skillet w Rice
Sweet and savory and spicy!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Start Rice in a pot or Rice Cooker (I sometimes add a drizzle of pineapple juice in - but not too much or the sugars will burn) according to package directions.
- 2
In a large skillet pour a few tablespoons of oil. Add red pepper flakes to taste - I add about a full teaspoon. Add garlic salt to taste - this depends how salty the keilbasa is that you are using. Turn the stove on low and allow the oil to warm.
- 3
Chop your keilbasa or polish sausage or whatever meat you are using into bite sized pieces (again we love Adelle chicken sausages like sundried tomatoe and artichoke heart). Add it to the oil and turn up the heat. Add a bag of frozen brussel sprouts or halved fresh brussel sprouts once your sausage has browned.
- 4
Once the brussel sprouts are also browned, add a chopped onion and some rough chopped garlic and turn the heat down. When your onions are just getting soft, add most of the juice from the can of pineapple and about 1/4 c of brown sugar or substitute. Allow this mixture to simmer for about 20 minutes. Stir every once in a while to prevent the sugar from burning.
- 5
Mix some corn starch in a little (1/2 cup or so) bowl of water and mix well then stir into the mixture in the pan and stir well. This will thicken the sauce. Add in the pineapple pieces and cook an additional 5-10 minutes. Serve over your yummy rice! Sweet, spicy and savory. And cheap!

Sweet & Savory Pork Rice Bowl Sweet & Savory Pork Rice Bowl
Even if you're using cheap cuts of meat, the sauce will make this an exceptional dish. If you omit the ginger and pork, you'll have a regular pork rice bowl. Adding ginger and garlic makes a gingered pork rice bowl.Only use a thin coat of flour but don't omit it as it's vital for getting the sauce to stick to the meat.If you only have a little meat, add onion slices to bulk the dish.If you cut the amount of sauce in half, you can make regular gingered pork. Sweet and Spicy Mushroom and Pork Rice Bowl Sweet and Spicy Mushroom and Pork Rice Bowl
Mushrooms and meat go well together, so I cooked pork and mushrooms this time. Dishes cooked with only Japanese seasonings might seem bland, so I added gochujang to spice it up.Serve with vegetables of your liking. Use about 300 g of mushrooms in total. You can put only shimeji mushrooms if you like. Maitake mushrooms would be delicious too, so you can put them instead. Recipe by Raby cookpad.japan -

Sweet and Tangy Stir Fried Rice Sweet and Tangy Stir Fried Rice
This rice is, hands down, the BEST stir fried rice I have ever made. The rice gods were with me today and I’m making sure I have this little jewel in my vault. We had it with chicken kabobs. All ingredients are approximate and you can add or take away but the vinegar is the key to the flavor. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles
