
Brussels Sprouts Almondine

Steps

Cut the sprouts in half, then quarter each half. Set aside.

Slice the bacon into 1/4-inch wide little strips. Fry in the olive oil until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon. Set aside.

Cut the onion into the same shape and size as the bacon. Fry for about 4 minutes. Course dice the garlic. Add the almonds and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes.

Add sprouts to the pan and season. Cover and cook until sprouts are tender (15 - 20 minutes).

Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with the bacon.

NOTE: If you are using mushrooms, brown before the onions and set aside with the onions.
