Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 cup (200 gm)Dalia
  2. 1 /2 cupSweet corn
  3. 1/2 cupCarrots (cut in small pieces)
  4. 1/2 cupCabbage shredded
  5. 1/2 cupOnion chopped
  6. 2 tspChana Dal (split gram)
  7. 2Green chilies finely chopped
  8. as neededCurry leaves
  9. as neededCoriander leaves
  10. 1 tspMustard seeds
  11. 1 /2 tspTurmeric powder
  12. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. 4-5 tspOil
  15. 1 tspLemon juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Roast Dalia without oil in wok till it turns in light brown.

  2. 2

    Soak Dalia in water for 2 hours (optional) if you are making in pressure cooker then no need to soak.

    Heat oil in a wok add mustard seeds. When it pops add Chana Dal saute it till brown. Add curry leaves, onion & all veggies. Saute all for 1 minute.

    Now add soaked Dalia. Mix well. Add all spices. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add 4 cup water. Mix properly. Cover the lid. Cook it on slow to medium flame for 10 to 15 minutes. Check if it cooked or not. Otherwise cook more for a few minutes. Now turn off gas.

    Squize lemon juice and serve hot by garnishing coriander leaves.
