Chop the onions and sauté them.

Add 1 cup of lentils and 4 cups of water to a pot. Cook until the lentils are tender.

Add 1 cup of rice, the sautéed onions, chicken bouillon cube, black pepper, and salt.

Before turning off the heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the dish. The mujadara is now ready to eat.

Slice the onions and sauté them over heat until they are soft and golden brown.

Spoon the mujadara onto a plate, top with the sautéed onions, and serve. You can add any type of salad you like. Enjoy!
