Ingredients

  1. 1 lbLean ground beef
  2. 2 tbspminced onion, dried or fresh
  3. 1/2 tspgarlic salt
  4. 2 cuptomato sauce
  5. 1tortilla chips, broken in pieces
  6. 1 cupsour cream
  7. 1 cupcottage cheese
  8. 1 cansmall can diced green chilis
  9. 2 tbspchopped black olives, optional
  10. 2 cupgrated cheddar or jack cheese

  1. 1

    Brown ground beef, add onion, garlic salt and tomato sauce after you spoon off any grease. Simmer for 5 and turn off heat. Set aside.

    Mix together sour cream, cottage cheese, green chilies, olives. Set aside.

    Crumble tortilla chips, enough to make a couple cups worth.

    In casserole dish, spread a layer of crumbled chips, enough to cover the bottom. I also spray the pan with Pam before I start the casserole.

  5. 5

    Then add a layer of meat mixture, then a layer of the chili/sour cream mixture. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Repeat layers.

  6. 6

    Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
