This new recipe was in an attempt to replicate my Grandmother's chop suey. It tastes more Italian than it does Asian, however. Hence, the name :-) I hope you like it and I'll look forward to your pics.

Bon's Noodle Delight

This new recipe was in an attempt to replicate my Grandmother's chop suey. It tastes more Italian than it does Asian, however. Hence, the name :-) I hope you like it and I'll look forward to your pics.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lbsweet & spicy ground pork
  2. 1small onion, chopped
  3. 1yellow bell pepper, chopped
  4. 1 cupsweet roasted red peppers, chopped
  5. 1/2 packagesbaby spinach
  6. 1/2 packagesmushrooms, chopped
  7. 1/4 packagessliced french green beans
  8. 2garlic cloves, chopped
  9. 2 tbspany flavor soup base
  10. soy sauce
  11. ground black pepper
  12. cornstarch
  13. 1 packagesspaghetti noodles
  14. sesame oil

Cooking Instructions

    Heat a pot of boiling water, salted. Cook spaghetti noodles per usual.

    In a large saute pan, brown meat on medium high.

  3. 3

    When meat is cooked, add onion. Let onion cook thru before adding remaining vegetables.

    Add all remaining vegetables till warmed or cooked thru.

  5. 5

    Add soy sauce and soup base as needed to taste.

    If you desire a thicker gravy, whisk together some corn starch with a bit of warm water and some juice from the pan. Add slowly, remember to cook thru. (Be sure to do this step before adding noodles.)

    Finally, drain and add cooked spaghetti noodles with a bit of sesame oil. Toss together.
