Ingredients

5 mins
8 servings
  1. 1/4 cupflour
  2. 1/2 cupwater
  3. 1 boxstore bought pie crust
  4. 1 stickbutter or margarine
  5. 1 cupwhite granulated sugar
  6. 1 1/2 tspground cinnamon
  7. 1/2 tspground ginger
  8. 1/4 tspground nutmeg
  9. 2 tbspvanilla extract
  10. 15 oz (2 cans)sliced peaches (light syrup)

Cooking Instructions

5 mins
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 375°F

  2. 2

Add the flour and water in a small mixing bowl and whisk together. Set to the side.

  3. 3

Except for the pie crust, add all of the other ingredients to a saucepan under medium heat.

  4. 4

Stir the the filling periodically. Once it begin to boil, add water and flour mix.

  5. 5

This will help to thicken the mixture. Pick a desired size pan or casserole dish.

  6. 6

Spray the pan with cooking spray then add the filling.

  7. 7

Take the rolled pie crust and unroll. Pour the peaches into the pan.

  8. 8

Break one of the pie crusts in medium size pieces and drop into the peaches. If you don't like a thick cobbler ommit this step.

  9. 9

Place the last pie crust on top of the peaches and shape it to the size of the pan. if it's too big, just cut off the excess.

  10. 10

Brush the top of the crust with butter, sugar, and cinnamon. I usually just take what's left in the bottom of the saucepan and spread on the top.

  11. 11

Place in the oven and cook for 35 minutes. When done, let cool for 15 minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream.Bon appetit........
