Steps

Marinate chicken with curd, ginger garlic paste, chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, lemon juice, tamdoori masala, salt for 2-3 hrs.

Now remove excess marination and shallow fry or bake it in oven. Keep remaining masala. Once chicken is cooked, cut it into pieces.

Now heat oil and fry onion golden brown. Once it is golden brown remove half of fried onion from oil, and add excess marination in it and let it cook till it shows oil on top. Add tomato and cooked chicken and cook it for few more minute.

Now take oven proof pot and layer chicken then rice then onion then chicken then rice add few drops of colour and pour ghee on top. Sprinkle some water. And cover it with aluminium foil and bake it for 10 mins.

Serve it with raita.

If you are using clay pot, soak pot for 1 hour and then do assembling.
