I used an electric fondue pot to prepare and serve this delicious cheese fondue. You could use a pot on the stove, however you need to keep the cheese warm for serving otherwise it stiffens up and is hard to dip.

With our busy schedules, my wife and I were having a hard time getting some "we" time in on our anniversary. So I cleared my afternoon, picked up flowers and gifts, and decided to try my hand at fondue.I took the boys to soccer so she could get caught up on some work. Once the boys were in bed, I got the fondue going, unsure of how it would turn out. It could not have been better! We both loved it and it was quicker and easier that I imagined. This is a great idea for a winter dinner party.

This recipe was created from a seafood fondue that used crab and oysters. The original was delicious but too fishy for the family.

Sit together around a cheese fondue pot filled with boiling chicken wing broth, and dip to cook fresh chunks of tuna steak and baby squid, surimi crab meat, twice fried chicken wings, shitake mushrooms, green beans, mung bean sprouts, fresh snow pea pods and samosa style wontons with lamb. An eleven course dinner with three dips and garlic scapes.Because of peanut allergy, I did not put peanut butter in the broth, I kept the broth neutral and made dips, peanut dip, pepper dip, and soy dip. Every year we make fondue on new years but we wanted my vegan boyfriend to enjoy it with us so we made him his own! It uses a non-dairy cashew base and the texture is just like real cheese fondue!

For a fondue dinner party with friends, we use three cheeses: cows milk aged cheddar, cows milk young gouda and home made cashew blue cheese. We dip the melted cheese with fresh baked sour dough bread, fresh apples, fresh vegetables into the bubbly cheeses in a fondue pot rubbed with elephant garlic, simmered in white wine and brandy.Traditionally, you use the cheese fondue crust that forms on the bottom of the fondue pot. This crust makes the baked cheese dessert, scraped out with a fork, cut in 4 wedges and served with home made fruit punch or cherry brandy.

During the traditional fasting month of March, with Lent, Ramadan, and Bahai, we reduce or abstain from quantities and types of food eaten. We replace meats, skip snacks and candies, use alcohol substitutes.There is still such an abundance of choices left that make Sunday meals special, such as this one.#march2026

Feta cheese bread makes a great breadbowl for cheese fondue. You eat the bowl as you dip the cheese fondue. The fondue is melted cheese with ham and spinach and garlic.
