Nostalgic Café-Style Ketchup Rice Nostalgic Café-Style Ketchup Rice
My mother often made this when I was young. It only had onions, but it was delicious even when it was cold, so I loved it. It seems like this was a dish made from leftovers until payday at the end of the month, so we often had it towards the end of the month. At that time my family didn't really eat out, so I felt it was a real treat.Soy sauce is a multi-functional secret ingredient for restaurant-like dishes. It goes especially well with rice, so definitely use it with rice dishes. The margarine at the end coats the rice with oil for a soft, chewy feel. Mincing the onions makes this easier to eat. For 2-3 servings. Recipe by Doronjo mama cookpad.japan -

Kabocha Rice Made in Rice Cooker Kabocha Rice Made in Rice Cooker
Simple and fragrant. I made this for iftar and kids complained because it smelled sooo good. I used fermented garlic+candlenut. You can replace it with regular oil, but I reckon it won't smell as good. Maybe you can fry some garlic first and use the oil. I use a type of rice with the ratio of 1:1.5 (rice:water) so you might want to adjust to the type of rice that you usually cook. Angela Mertoyono -
