Steps
- 1
Soak moon daal and almonds separately for 2-3 hours.
- 2
Grind it to a crumbled paste, it should not be perfectly smooth.
- 3
Now heat a cup of ghee in a pan
- 4
Add wheat flour and saute for a minute.
- 5
Add moong dal and almonds paste to it and cook, it becomes very sticky that is why we add wheat flour as helps preventing it from becoming sticky.
- 6
It takes almost 30 minutes for the daal to cook into a nice golden colour.
- 7
Now in a another pan dissolve sugar and water, don't make chasni, just cook for 2-3min or until the suggar is completely dissolved.
- 8
Add it to the dal and cook until it get into halwa consistency.
- 9
Garnish with some chopped dry fruits and dried rose petals and serve.
