Ingredients

40 servings
  1. Cookies
  2. 1 cupshortening
  3. 2 cupsugar
  4. 3eggs
  5. 1 cupsour cream
  6. 5 cupflour (add more to gain desired consistency)
  7. 1 tspsalt
  8. 1 tspbaking soda
  9. 1 tspnutmeg
  10. 1 tspvanilla
  11. 2 tspbaking powder
  12. Frosting
  13. 2 stickmargarine
  14. 2 cupshortening
  15. 1 tspvanilla (clear vanilla for white frosting)
  16. 2 lbpowered sugar (or until a little dry)
  17. 1/4 cupmilk

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cookies: Preheat oven to 375°F. Place all ingredients in a mixer. Continue to add flour until the mixer can no longer mix. Roll dough on a cookie sheet and use cookie cutters to shape. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

    Frosting:
    Mix all ingredients; add milk to consistency.
