Beans and Franks is not a dish I grew up eating and I've never made them. My husband mentioned the other day that he liked them and grew up eating them. So I figured it was about time to give it a try! Hearty meal for a cold winter day!

I made this a lot when on the road with my late trucker hubby on a small grill.

Well, this is technically the 4th meal with the steak and 2nd for the pork butt. Over the Easter holiday we had a cook out. My husband used the last of the sirloin to make his baked beans. I wish he’d give me the recipe lol my daughter took some pork butt and the rest went into the pot with the leftover beans. Very hearty and very delicious. Something easy to throw together in a couple of minutes when you have a Fridge full of leftovers.

This is a delicious, savory, quick meal that my mom used to make when I was little and it even won a local contest once. It's great with a salad and some hot buttered bread. Enjoy!
