Ingredients

  • 1katori black daal(soak half hour before making)
  • 1finely chopped onion
  • 1finely chopped tomato(optional)
  • Pinchsugar(optional)
  • 1 tspfinely chopped ginger
  • 1 tspfinely chopped green chillie
  • 2 tspmustard oil
  • 1 tspturmeric
  • 1 tspred chillie powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspcorinder powder
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • 2 tspdesi ghee
  • 1 tspcumin
  • Pinchafosodia(hing)
  • 1-2 tspmalayi or cream
  • Water as required

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a cooker and boil water as required to cook the dal now add soaked dal mustard oil turneric salt in dal and pressure cook until 3 whistle

  2. 2

    Now cook the dal on low flame approx more than half hour till then take another pan add desi ghee in it

  3. 3

    Now add hing cumin and onion fry it until golden brown.Now add ginger and green chilli

  4. 4

    Now add tomato and all spices mirch corinder powder garam masala and cook it 2 min on low flame

  5. 5

    Add pinch of sugar in tadka (optional) and corrinder fresh leaves

  6. 6

    Now open the cooker if you find water is required add more boiled water in it

  7. 7

    Now cook the daal on medium high flame approx 10min till it becomes red in colour

  8. 8

    When it's colour changes add malayi or cream

  9. 9

    Your dal is ready to serve
