Preheat oven 400° Fahrenheit

Microwave the broccoli. On high for 8 minutes. Check microwave 3 more minutes.

Cube the spam.

Shred the cheese and get at room temperature. Mix a quarter cup of heavy cream and cornstarch.

In a pot heat all but quarter cup of the heavy cream and butter. Heat just enough to melt the cheese. You can tell this when the butter is melted. Add the cheese. Stir constantly.

In an oven safe dish add the broccoli, garlic, and spam mix well. Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli and spam. Mix the cornstarch solution into the casserole. srinkle with parmesan cheese.

Put into oven. Bake 30 - 35 minutes.
