I attempted to make the traditional Halloween with cake mix and discovered my oven was not working. So, I made it using my summer sand dessert recipe but doctored it up a bit. Fantastic!!

I attempted to make the traditional Halloween with cake mix and discovered my oven was not working. So, I made it using my summer sand dessert recipe but doctored it up a bit. Fantastic!!
Cooking Instructions

In a medium bowl beat first 4 ingredients (cream cheese, butter, confectioners sugar and extract) until creamy. Put aside

In a large bowl beat next three(pudding, milk, Cool Whip)

Scrape first mixture into the Pudding mixture and combine well with a hand blender. Cover and put in the fridge while you make the litter and cat poop.

For the litter: Process both the Oreos and doughnuts until crumbly and combine both together well.

Take 1/3 cup of litter and place in a small bowl...add 4 drops green dye. Mix well. This is the litter odor crystals! Repeat this process in a separate small dye with the blue dye. Put both small bowls aside.

For the poop: Microwave the tub of icing for 30 seconds. Add to a bowl with the confectioners sugar and softened butter and beat well. Add all to a large freezer bag. (I used a parchment paper lined cookie sheet for the next step)

Cut the corner of the freezer bag so it’s large enough to pipe the icing to create cat poop. Have fun with this one!!! Place in a freezer while you assemble the litter

In your pan add 1/2 of your pudding mixture and spread it out evenly. Then add 1/2 of your crumb mixture evenly. Add the remaining 1/2 of pudding mixture and spread it out evenly. Mix your reserved crumbs (odor crystals) in the remaining crumbs and sprinkle all over top. Refrigerate this for 1/2 hr.

After 1/2 hr, carefully place cat poop all over litter.....get creative!! Have some hang off the side or next to the litter box for fun!! This dessert has a good amount of steps but it’s super fun and the most delicious yet disgusting dessert you’ll ever eat. Enjoy!!!

for the naysayers... I have no problem with people voicing opinion.. its exactly that.. an opinion.. say what u like about the cake.. I did it for good ol fashioned fun. lots of people love it.. and I had a blast making it. Kids had a blast eating it.. isn't that what its really about.. the kids and the fun of it? I made chicken breast to look like smokers lungs for dinner that night.. bloody bandaid snacks for snack.. we had a gross out day of food.. and they giggled; and laughed and ate it all up! To see them excited and having fun was worth more than I can ever mutter out.. and that my friend is why I posted that cake.. so I can share the joy and fun we had.. that's what this app is about! Sharing our family's fun and enjoyment of food no matter how bizarre it may seems to some.. thanks for at least looking at my recipe.. even bad publicity is good.. ;) and i cant wait to see other peoples kitty litter cake! :excited
