Italian Style Homemade Spaghetti with meat sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupextra virgin oil
  2. 1 1/2 lbextra lean ground beef
  3. 1medium carrot finely grated
  4. 1/2medium onion finely diced
  5. 8 cloveslarge garlic
  6. 2 cansorganic mushrooms
  7. 2 (28 oz)cans tomato sauce
  8. 1 tbsptomato paste
  9. 3large ripe tomatoes pealed and crushed
  10. 1red bell peppers finely diced
  11. 1 tspthyme
  12. 1 tsporegano
  13. 1/4 cupbasil
  14. 1/4 tspgarlic powder
  15. 3 tbspchopped fresh parsley
  16. 4bay leaves
  17. 1/2 tspsalt for taste
  18. 1/4 tspground black pepper
  19. 1 cupbeef broth
  20. 2 tbspbrown sugar
  21. Finely grated Parmesan cheese
  22. 1 packregular spaghetti noodles

Cooking Instructions

    Boil your spaghetti noodles then rinse and set aside

    Take a pot and heat up olive oil then sauté garlic and onions

  3. 3

    Add ground beef after 2 minutes of sautéing the garlic and onions and cook until meat is fully brown

  4. 4

    Add all of the spices including brown sugar and cook for 1 minute

  5. 5

    Add carrots and mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes

  6. 6

    Add red bell peppers, parsley crushed tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes

  7. 7

    Add tomato paste tomato sauce and beef broth and cook for 15 minutes stirring occasionally so the sauce won’t burn at the bottom of the pot

    Add salt for taste as desired. Pour on top of spaghetti noodles and sprinkle freshly shredded Parmesan cheese on top

    Goes well with garlic bread

Where is the tomato paste in the ingredients that you referenced in the directions?
