Ingredients

  1. Meatballs----------
  2. 1-2/3 poundground beef
  3. 1/2 cupbreadcrumbs fine
  4. 1/2 cuppanko breadcrumbs
  5. 2large eggs
  6. 1/4 cupgrated parmesan cheese
  7. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  8. 1/2 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  9. Sauce-----------
  10. 1 quarttomato with apple sauce see my recipe
  11. Toppings------------
  12. 1-1/2 cupmozzarella cheese shredded
  13. Oil----------
  14. As neededoil to fry the meatballs

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat the two eggs.

  2. 2

    Heat the oil. Mix all the ingredients except the panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Form the meatballs. Roll in the panko breadcrumbs.

    Fry in the oil turning often

    Move to a paper towel to absorb excessive oils.

  6. 6

    Add to a baking pan.

    Cover with the tomato with apple sauce.

    Add the mozzarella cheese on top.

    Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
