I love Brussels Sprouts! I wanted to do something other than steam. So I did this, and as a special touch, I added 4 Tbsp's of homemade duck broth to seared sprouts. I hope you enjoy this recipe!

I love Brussels Sprouts! I wanted to do something other than steam. So I did this, and as a special touch, I added 4 Tbsp's of homemade duck broth to seared sprouts. I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients

  1. 2 lbBrussels sprouts, halved
  2. 3Bacon slices
  3. 2Tbsp's olive oil
  4. 2Tbsp's Italian seasoning
  5. 2Tbsp's thyme
  6. 2Tbsp's dried parsley
  7. 1 tspred pepper flakes

Cooking Instructions

    Put sprouts in Ziploc baggie. Drizzle the olive oil over, close and toss to coat.

    In cold pan, cook bacon till 2-3 Tbsp's bacon fat renders. Place bacon on paper towels to drain.

    Place coated Brussels sprouts in same pan as bacon fat. Stir in seasonings and a splash of Apple cider vinegar. Add squeezed juice from one orange.

    Cook till sprouts are fork tender. Squeeze additional juice of orange over sprouts and serve.
