Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupSemolina -
  2. 1/2 cupWheat flour -
  3. 2 cupMilk -
  4. 3/4 cupSugar -
  5. 1/4 tspCardamom powder -
  6. 1 tbspRaisins -
  7. 1 tbspCrushed almonds -
  8. strandsSaffron - few
  9. 1/2 cupClarified butter -

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat clarified butter in a pan.

  2. 2

    Roast the semolina and wheat flour on medium flame until light brown in colour and give out the fragrance.

  3. 3

    After stirring further for 10 - 15 mins add sugar and milk.

  4. 4

    The semolina and wheat flour absorbs the milk.

  5. 5

    Stir properly otherwise lumps formed.

  6. 6

    The whole mixture cook for 7 - 8 mins.

  7. 7

    Add cardamom powder,raisins,crushed almonds and saffron strands.

  8. 8

    The halwa is ready to serve.

  9. 9

    Garnish with crushed almonds and saffron strands
