Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cupFlour
  • 1 1/2 cupSugar
  • 1 1/2 cupCrushed Hazelnuts
  • 2 stickUnsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tbspGround cloves
  • 1 1/2 tbspCinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tbspCacao
  • 2Eggs (reserve 1 egg yolk)
  • 1unit Jar of jam

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. 2

    Mix all ingredients (except 1 egg yolk)

  3. 3

    Chill dough for 30 min

  4. 4

    Roll half dough to 1/8". Use circle cutters to cut. Cut small heart or star in half of cookies

  5. 5

    Place on parchment lined baking sheets

  6. 6

    Brush cookie tops with reserved egg yolk. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  7. 7

    Bake for 12 minutes. Cool on rack. Spread jam on bottom cookie. Add top cookie.
