I had leftover slices of a banana walnut loaf I baked the night before so decided to create this delicious morning treat. The entire family enjoyed eating this for breakfast.

I had leftover slices of a banana walnut loaf I baked the night before so decided to create this delicious morning treat. The entire family enjoyed eating this for breakfast.

Ingredients

  1. 1Banana Walnut Loaf (Check out my recipe for Vegan Banana Walnut Loaf) sliced into single servings.
  2. 5 largeEggs
  3. 1/4 cupSugar
  4. 5 tspWater
  5. Ground Cinnamon
  6. 1 largeSkillet
  7. 1Spatula
  8. 1Spoonful of Butter to every 3-4 slices of bread
  9. 1 largeMixing Bowl
  10. cupmaple syrup
  11. tsppowdered sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Gather All Ingredients

    In large bowl beat 5 large eggs with 5 teaspoons water.

    Beat in Sugar and Ground Cinnimon.

  4. 4

    Completely submerge and Soak slices of bread individually or 2 at a time in the beaten egg mixture for 20-30 seconds.

    Melt butter in skillet

  6. 6

    Place soaked bread slices on heated pan until golden brown on one side. Then flip and cook until both sides have been completely toasted.

  7. 7

    Place on plate and serve. Goes great with maple syrup or with powdered sugar sprinkled over the top.
