Ingredients

  1. 1 bagMaris Piper or King Edward Potatoes.
  2. 1 1/2 cupVegetable Oil
  3. 1large Pan for part boiling
  4. 1Roasting Dish

    Peel and cut potatoes in half about 2 inch size. If large potatoes, cut in fours.

    Wash and put them in boiling water in a large saucepan. Make sure water covers potatoes, boil for 10 mins.

  3. 3

    While potatoes are boiling, pout oil into roasting dish cold.

  4. 4

    Drain and put potatoes in the roasting dish, and carefully turn them over until they are all covered in the oil..

    Roast on 175°C or gas 6 for 10-15 mins, after that time turn all potatoes over in the oil in the roasting dish, and put back in the oven for 20 -15 minutes.

    Turn all potatoes over snd cover in the hot oil. And turn oven up to 200°C/gas 8 for a further 5- 10 mins or until they are a lovely golden brown and Crisp looking.

    Serve as a side of most meals, lovely on their own or with gravy poured on them.
