Nivi's carmel apple French toast
Love French toast was tired of plain ol French toast so i decided to spice it up a bit started off with just the apples then went from there i do hope you will enjoy it as my family does
Steps
- 1
For the apple glaze: peel core and dice the apples throw in a pot with water and cinnamon boil apples til done! Drain and add enough powdered sugar to cover apples ( i usually add more cnnamon, i really love cinnamon can ya tell ;-) )
- 2
For the French toast: you can really use what ever French toast recipe you like its up to you but this is what i do! Take your eggs and whisk them with milk and cinnamon (see there i go with the cinnamon again lol) dip your bread in to the egg/milk mixture let sit for about 15 seconds so the bread soaks up the mix lay out on a prewarmed griddle about low/medium heat repeat til you get like six slices on your griddle you dont want then browned just til they get a wee bit tanned when done take off griddle and spread butter over each slice both sides like a pancake repeat with other six slices (if you have to whisk up some more egg/milk/cinnamon mixture) when done cut each slice in half diagonally lay out on plates with a slotted spoon spoon your apple glaze over your French toast then syrup sift powdered sugar over the syrup then carmel sauce

****WARNING**** THIS IS NOT DIABETIC FRIENDLY LOADED WITH SUGAR AND CARBS i myself cant have much but when i do i really watch my blood glucose levels and keep my insulin handy. I do hope you try this and enjoy it as much as my family does
