Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1 cupSago/sabudana/sabbakki
  • 1/4 cupcurds
  • to tasteSalt
  • For tempering :
  • 1/2 tspOil / ghee
  • 1/4 tspMustard seeds
  • Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • 1/4 tspBlack lentils/urad
  • 1/2 tspBengal gram –
  • 1/2 to 1 tbspChopped green chilli – (according to spice level)
  • Curry leaves – few

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash sago in enough water, drain all the water and keep it for 1 – 2 hours (for soaking)

  2. 2

    Make tempering with all the ingredients

  3. 3

    Put tempering, salt and curds to the soaked sago

  4. 4

    Mix well, Pour it in the idly plates and steam it for 5 to 6 minutes

  5. 5

    Take out after 5 minutes and serve with chutney
