Steps

Wash carrots thoroughly under running water. Peel and grate them.

Add milk in a kadhai or pan and bring it to a boil. The milk will start to thicken as it evaporates.

Turn the flame to a low to medium setting. Add the grated carrots to the milk.

Keep stirring this mixture often. The milk will slowly begin to froth & dry.

Then add mava and mix well.

When the milk has almost dried out, add 4 tbsp ghee and roast the mixture in it.

Add sugar, mixed nuts and cardamom powder. Keep stirring till the mixture thickens.

Gajar Ka Halwa is ready.
