  1. 2 1/2 cupflour
  2. 1 tspbaking powder
  3. 1 tspbaking soda
  4. 2 tspground cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tspground nutmeg
  6. 1/2 tspground cloves
  7. 1/2 tspsalt
  8. 1/2 cupbutter, softened
  9. 1 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  10. 1 cupcanned pumpkin puree
  11. 1egg
  12. 1 tspvanilla extract
  13. 6 ozsemisweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, round cloves, and salt.

    Cream together butter and white sugar. Add pumpkin, egg, and vanilla and beat until creamy.

    Mix in dry ingredients slowly, then fold in chocolate chips. Drop by the tablespoon on cookie sheets and flatten slightly.

    Bake for 17 minutes. Do not cover until completely cool. Do not keep covered unless necessary. Makes 3 dozen.

Do these come out soft, almost bread like? I found a recipe on here years ago that were like that but can't seem to find it.
