7-Grain Ranch Seasoned Croutons
Here's my ranch flavored croutons.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 275°F
- 2
Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3
Lay out bread on parchment paper.
- 4
In a bowl wisk together with a fork the oil and the the ranch packet.
- 5
Grab a basting/pastry brush.
- 6
Dunk into oil mix and wipe each slice of bread with it. (The seasoning will settle so every time u dunk swish the brush around.
- 7
Flip bread over.
- 8
Baste second side.
- 9
(U don't have to completely soak or completely coat each side. Just do like pics show.)
- 10
Cut each slice into strips about a half inch wide or whatever you like. Size doesn't matter here.
- 11
Cuteach strip into whatever size pieces you would like. I did 3/4 inch some are varied. I like a variety of sizes.
- 12
(For easiest cutting of the bread I used a pair of clean kitchen sissors.)
- 13
Spread bread out onto baking sheet in a single layer.
- 14
Bake in oven for 15 min. Then toss bread around flipping it over, getting inside pieces to outside. ( doesn't have to be perfect. Just as good as you can. :) ) bake an additional 15 minutes.
- 15
Remove from oven and let it cool 5 minutes.
- 16
Transfer to a bowl and serve
- 17
Or let cool completely and store in labled and dated zipper bags
- 18
Enjoy!
- 19
Makes about 4 cups of croutons.

Croutons made in the oven! Done in 15 minutes! Please watch your time, since the croutons will burn quickly after they've been mixed with olive oil. Scatter the dried parsley to finish. If you scatter them before baking, it's likely that they will burn. You will also use the bread crust. Leftover crusts from making sandwiches are great to make croutons! The store-bought croutons don't have enough flavor or are too dry. After many trials, I found this combination of spices works really well. I am able to control the direction of the flavors and the amount of crunchiness of the crouton. I even used these to add to myThanksgiving dressing. The flavor was amazing! Thaddeus Cookus -
