Steps
- 1
For Dough:mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.add water to form soft dough(so that it does not stick when formed into balls)
- 2
form medium sized balls out of the dough & set aside
- 3
For the stuffing:mash the potatoes in a bowl.
- 4
add all other ingredients with the potatoes.form balls(slightly smaller than the dough balls) and set aside
- 5
Making parathas:Roll the dough ball into a 2inch circle on a floured surface with a rolling pin.
- 6
now cover the potato ball with the dough circle completely covering it,effectively stuffing the dough with the potatoes
- 7
flour the stuffed ball & roll it into a thin circle.it may tear a little, wen this happens apply a little flour & roll gently on the edges
- 8
heat a skillet.cook the rolled paratha on the heated skillet on medium high heat.when it colors on the bottom flip it and apply a little oil on the upper surface, repeat this process on the other surface too,so that it is golden & cooked on both sides
- 9
repeat the above steps for all the remaining balls.
- 10
serve the parathas with butter on it(as much as you like or as little as you like) and with ketchup or sour cream etcetera!!!!!!
