This traditional dish makes a tasty, calcium-packed meal for your baby that
is guaranteed to become a firm favorite. You can use any small pasta
shapes in place of the macaroni.
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
Cook the macaroni until soft or according to instructions on the packet.
Drain. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add in the flour. Cook for about
2 minutes over a low heat�don't let the flour turn brown. Pour the milk in
slowly while stirring with a wooden spoon or balloon whisk. Keep stirring
until you have a smooth sauce. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, and simmer
gently for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from the heat and
stir in the grated cheese and cooked macaroni. Cut the macaroni into
smaller pieces with a fork, if necessary. Serve with peas and green beans.
